What a week! Last Friday, Brandon took a day off work and we had a “family fun day”. It was our last hurrah before school. We started with a little miniature golf. The girls had fun for the first five holes, but then they got hot and tired. Next we had a picnic in the park and went swimming. Then we came home, built a fort and watched a movie in the fort. The funny thing is the following Monday the Utah department of health started requiring pools to not allow kids under 5 in the public pools for a month! There is a terrible parasite going around and they are trying to control it by not allowing kids in public pools. Luckily we haven’t gotten sick from our swim (knock on wood).
Monday, we were having ice cream for our FHE treat. Brandon went into the crawl space for some Oreo cookies to put in the ice cream. He gave the girls a cookie and Abby screams, “ANTS!” Ants were crawling all over the cookies. We have no idea how ants got into a sealed Oreo cookie bag. We checked the crawl space and vacuumed up lots of ants. Abby was freaking out and seriously crying and scared. Megan was too focused on her ice cream to care. We had someone come and spray, so hopefully that will take care of our ant problem.
We ran to Costco for some milk. It was late coming home and Spencer was screaming. When we got home I immediately got Spencer and Brandon started putting the girls to bed. The next morning we went to put milk on our cereal and realized it was still in the car! Four gallons of milk!!
Brandon had a good first week of school. He will have to post the details later. Abby started a dance class. I can’t think of much else to say. Hope everyone is OK. It’s been a slow week for the blog.

It HAS been a slow week for the poor blog; thanks for sharing so much today. 4 gallons of milk spoiled!???That is a killer. I remember crying when an egg got broken. I can imagine that ABby-girl freaked about ants seeing how she has nightmares about "ant spray". That is very scary news about the pools; I hate public pools (and Jonelle hates any pool for probably the same reasons).
