Micah and Noah had a checkup today. We changed doctors and I am SO glad. The new Dr was AWESOME. I got a BUNCH of questions answered and she spent a lot of time with us. Micah weighed 13 lbs, 11 oz and Noah weighed 13 lbs, 12 oz. So Micah has caught up! An oddity though....Micah has always been about 1 inch longer than Noah, but today he was 3/4 in shorter! He is actually below the 5% for length, but in the 60% for weight. AND...their heads are actually only 1/4 inch difference! I think Noah's is wider and Micah's is longer though so it looks like Noah's is bigger.
She thinks the reason they have been having such tough nights recently is reflux...they both spit up while we were there and based on that and their reactions she says she thinks Micah has a pretty severe case and Noah has a moderate case....so, she gave us a prescription but said it will take 2-3 wks to start helping. She recommend that in the meantime we start feeding them rice cereal twice/day to help them keep their food down and soak up stomach acid. She also recommend that we prop their crib mattress up to a 30 degree angle. She says they will feel heartburn like pain every 1-2 hrs so that is what is waking them up. If they are propped up a bit, it should be better (probably why they slept better in their bouncers)
She thinks Micah may have a blood clotting problem (it took us a LONG time to get him to stop bleeding w/ the circumcision and when we cut his finger while cutting his nails), so she sent us in to test that.
Micah also has a flat head! He ALWAYS looks to his right no matter where he is (crib, bouncer, floor, changing table). She said she can send us somewhere to have it evaluated, but that it is just cosmetic, but she is also concerned that the muscles on the other side of his face aren't developing correctly, so she gave us a bunch of exercises to do to help him.
Anyway, I think I ended up rambling, sorry! We love you and we will keep you posted!

Ramble on Misty, we love hearing
all about the boys & knowing all
about them. Wish we could see them
more. Keep the reports coming.
Love you all grams
Sorry about the reflux. My sister's boys had it, but at least you know and can do something to help them. Thanks for sharing the update on the boys. I hope everything turns out OK with Micah.
