Happy Happy Granna!

Yeah for Megan going potty like a big girl and wearing big girl panties!!!! Granna is so HAPPY! Good job Megan!
We are donning our pirate outfits and makeup (Granster,Granna,Steve,Jonelle,Kelly and the big Shields) tonight and attending the Pirates of the Carribean premier. We are excited.
The backsplash is GORGEOUS. The bricks were a great choice, Steve. We are almost finished with the kitchen; just a few odds and ends (doors for the broom closet, some missing side panels, shoe for the basboards etc). Now I am getting serious about the pool bath and service porch; stripping wallpaper has been a chore but it's almost done. All the other projects are still in the bidding stage. Hope to get started on the shed and painting the house soon.

"Real charity is not something you give away; it is something that you acquire and make a part of yourself. Charity comes when we are kind to each other; when we don't judge someone else; when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or REMAIN QUIET. Charity is accepting someone's differences, weaknesses and shortcomings, having patience with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn't handle something the way we might have hoped. Charity is expecting the best of each other"
(Elder Marvin J. Ashton, Conference April 1992).

"Charity is not an emotion or action. It is not something we feel or do. Charity is who the Savior is. It is his most defining characteristic. When we plead for charity, we aren't asking for lovely feelings toward someone who bugs us or has wounded us. We are actually pleading for our very natures to be changed; for our character and disposition to become more like the Savior's so that we literally feel as He would feel and thus do what He would do."
