Megan is really getting used to the water without a "ring". She is liking jumping off the step to "get the rings" before they sink to the bottom. Actually Abby-girl is really good at it (It is a tricky way to get them to swim fast after the rings and when they are on the bottom, Abby is getting them with her feet (which is a tricky was to get your face in the water-because you want so badly to get the ring, you forget to worry about getting your face wet). Abby built the first-ever train track around the treasure chest this a.m.! No one has ever thought of doing that before. Abby started with a floaty suit Friday afternoon and for awhile this a.m., but she graduated to just two floaties for most of the day. Then at the end, she swam to the steps with just 1 floaty, and for a few times before exiting for the day, NO FLOATIES! She and Paul were both swimming without floaties at the end.

Thanks for the pictures! It looks like they are having lots of fun.
I am going to put Abby in swimming lessons when she gets back. These are the things she needs to be able to do in order to skip level one and go to level two: 1) enter the water unassisted, move 5 yards, bob 5 times to chin level and safely exit the water. 2) float on front with support for 3 seconds, roll to back (with assistance) and float on back with support for 3 seconds.
What do you think? Will she be able to do all those things? Should I put her straight into level 2?
We'll work on them and let you know in a few days. What do you think bob 5 times to chin level means?????
it means dipping yourself down far enough to get your chin wet, but no further... i think.
