Today I took Paul, Paige and Jackson for a walk through the Botanical Garden. They each had a plastic bag to collect rocks on the way to the river/bridge. They loved throwing rocks into the stream. We hiked around to the picnic tables and had otter pops then took the big hike up to the top of the mountain. They named prophets who climbed high mountains to pray to Heavenly Father; I was impresssed with their scripture knowledge-good job parents! We sat up there and looked at the valley, pointing out many landmarks (Kelly's old apt, the Oaks Mall, the freeways, Ormes house). We walked down through the Cactus garden (a big hit with Jackson),the Japanese Garden which had sprinklers on so we got wet and enjoyed it, and all the other beautiful spots with benches which we rested on. We saw 2 bunnies, many lizards and a squirrel. The kids were so fun; Jackson was very appreciative of being taken there; he is so mature for his age.
