Upon the battlefield of the human soul two masters are ever contending for the kingship of the heart;the master of SELF, called the Prince of this world, and the master of TRUTH also called the Father God.
The absolute denial, the utter extinction of self is the perfect state of truth.
There is only one quality which preeminently distinguishes people of truth from people of self, and that is humility. Those who are immersed in self regard their own opinions as truth, and the opinions of others as error. But humble truth-lovers, who have learned to distinguish between opinion and truth, regard all people with the eye of charity. and do not seek to defend their opinions but sacrifice those opinions that they may love the more, that they may manifest
the spirit of truth, for truth in its very nature is ineffable and can only be lived.
Those who have the most of charity have the most of truth.
Truth is not a formal belief; it is an unselfish, holy and aspiring heart;
those who have truth are at peace with all
and cherish all with thoughts of love.
